Transport connections
East Kent is very well connected. It has a highly developed road, rail, air and sea network for residents and businesses alike. Major roads, the A2, M2 and M20 link East Kent to the M25, London and Europe, and an impressive rail network including High Speed giving excellent - and fast - access to London, Eurostar and Eurotunnel provide fast travel times to the continent. New domestic and international flights from Manston, Kent's International Airport are available and London Ashford Airport (LAA) offers regular flights to Le Touquet.
The Eurotunnel terminal at Folkestone means the continent is only 35 minutes away. Dover and Ramsgate ports have a major share of the UK's freight traffic and passenger ferries cross regularly to the continent.
