Pfizer site in Sandwich relaunched as Discovery Park

Jun 14, 2011

CB Richard Ellis will begin actively marketing Pfizer’s 3 million sq ft site
in Sandwich this week, under the new moniker ‘Discovery Park’.

Pfizer announced its intention to exit the site in February, and has instructed CBRE to find
possible buyers. Today sees the formal launch of the site as ‘Discovery Park’.

CBRE will market the site worldwide and will target a range of potential occupiers for the existing
buildings, which include world class laboratories and sophisticated distribution and production
facilities, as well as promoting the site to investors and developers.

Locate in Kent and UK Trade and Industry will be closely supporting this activity, promoting the
campus through their own global marketing activities including at industry events such as
BIO2011.

Nick Compton, Senior Director, Corporate Strategies at CBRE said:
“The launch of Discovery Park is an important milestone as we seek to deliver a future for the site.
We are excited to be working with Pfizer on this, and expect the site and its unique facilities to
attract interest from occupiers across a range of industries, as well as from the investment and
development sectors.”

John Westwood, Real Estate Director EMEA, Pfizer, said:
“The name Discovery Park reflects our hope that the site will continue, in part at least, to be a
centre for R & D. We anticipate that this campaign will help attract users to the site.”
