Cliff face work under way for Royal Sands project

Repairs to the cliff face are well under way in preparation for the Royal Sands development at Marina Esplanade in Ramsgate.The plans include a 60-bedroom hotel and 107 apartments with mooring facilities, plus cafes, restaurants, a fitness centre and kid's play area.
The project is owned by SFP ventures and is being managed by Terence Painter Properties.
James Painter, general manager at Terence Painter, said "The repairs to the cliff face are well under way and this is expected to take 20 weeks to complete, finishing about the end of May. The highway works which will create the access to the site are also currently on schedule and are expected to be completed by mid-April."
The project is expected to be finished by the end of 2010.
