Three years ago, when the company acquired new owners, a major incentive was needed to convince them to continue to invest in Kent.
Locate in Kent worked with Sharp Interpack to secure SEEDA funding for investment in machinery, enabling the £30million turnover company to stay in Kent, saving over 200 jobs.
This represented an investment in new machines for new markets and will create almost 70 new jobs over a three year period.
Finance Director, Colin Potts said: "Working with Locate in Kent has enabled us to stay in the area and continue to build on our existing commitment to the local community. The funding secured means we can launch a £6.5 million development project on our existing site and keep ahead of the market as well as creating a better working environment and installing state of the art equipment to meet new customer requirements."
