Bellway’s Tannery signs Hotel Du Vin

Aug 7, 2008

Hotel Du Vin, owned by Marylebone Warwick Balfour, has bought a warehouse site for development at Bellway's Tannery development in Canterbury.

The hotel group hopes to redevelop the site into a 40 bedroom hotel by 2010.

It is the second Hotel Du Vin acquisition made through agent Christie & Co this year, after the hotel group bought the 22 bedroom Andrews Golf Hotel in Scotland.

Bruce McKendrick, managing director of Hotel du Vin, said: ‘The brand will deliver a new style of hotel with superb rooms, fabulous wine cellars and a great value bistro and bar. In addition to offering luxurious bedrooms, it will be a great place for locals to meet, eat and drink.'
