Manston, Kent International Airport is an important and growing regional airport contributing to easing congestion at other South East airports and promoting new and exciting opportunities for growth in the sub-regional economy.
There are approximately 100 acres of development land at Manston, which is well suited to aviation-related development, and the Group also owns approximately 67 acres of land on the adjacent Manston Business Park, which is well suited to both industrial and aviation-related development.
Dedicated air cargo services have successfully operated for some years from Manston to a range of transatlantic and intercontinental destinations. Manston is the seventh largest freight airport in the country in terms of volumes and is one of the fast growing in the country. The airport boasts the fastest freight turnaround among UK airports, where average clearance and loading times for a DC-8 to the first truck to be released just 23 minutes from touchdown.
