Megger

For over 100 years, Megger has been a market leader in electrical testing equipment and measuring instruments for electrical power applications, most famously insulation testers. Other areas of specialism include cable fault locating, protective relay testing and power quality testing, although the company offers a wide range of over 1,000 products. The company has a global reach with the UK representing just 17% of the company's market.

Located in Dover, Megger employs a total of 230 people in their engineering and manufacturing facility at Dover. Only a fifth of the total workforce are based in the administration department while the remainder are in the factory, electronics and software engineering teams. Their current team includes over 30 graduate engineers and many skilled electrical and mechanical technicians. The products are manufactured using a combination of advanced automated robotic equipment and skilled manufacturing staff.

The company's ISO 9001/14001 certified facility at Dover is one of Megger's three manufacturing facilities; the other two are located in the United States. The company also has a network of sales and technical offices in Europe and across Asia, the Middle East and North America so that utility engineers and electricians from Peru to Japan and Finland to New Zealand are familiar with the 'Megger' name.
