Further Education

There are three further education facilities in East Kent. The £25 million investment in South Kent College in Dover, a proposed £43 million investment in Thanet College and the £47 million redevelopment of Canterbury College are set to provide high quality education and training for employers and the local community.

South Kent College

• Situated over three main campuses in Ashford, Dover and Folkestone and the Ashford School of Art and Design. It is the largest higher education institution in Kent.
• Specialist subjects include Construction, Marine Engineering, Media and Design.

• Based in Broadstairs, is the number one local provider of training and further education and a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Catering and Hospitality.
• Specialist subjects include Business Management training, Catering and Hospitality, Health and Social Care, Interactive Media, Interior Design.
